On a complaint, the police registered a case against the accused under sections 254, 294, 509 and 510 and arrested him from Bengaluru.

The incident of urinating under the influence of alcohol in the flight is on 26 November 2022. When Air India flight was coming from New York to Delhi. In this flight, a person named Shankar Mishra, who was drunk with alcohol, urinated on an elderly woman of 70 years. Based on the woman's complaint to Air India, the Delhi Police had registered an FIR against her on January 4 and arrested her from Bengaluru on Saturday. Later, a court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
