Security lapse in Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Mumbai, arrested as an officer

A case of security lapse has come to the fore during the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Mumbai. A man roaming around for hours posing himself as the PA of the MP of Andhra Pradesh. This man was walking around wearing a home ministry strap (with ID card). Not only this, the same person was also seen roaming outside the house of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis wearing a blazer. When this person was suspected, an official of the ministry informed the Mumbai Police. Mumbai Police has arrested this person after interrogation. The name of the accused is Hemant Pawar and he is a resident of Dhule. The accused Pawar was produced in the court, from where he has been sent to police custody for 5 days.

The Mumbai Traffic Police on Wednesday dismissed allegations that an ambulance was stopped while Union Home Minister Amit Shah's convoy was passing by. Police said there was no emergency patient in the ambulance and its siren kept sounding due to a technical snag. Videos and photos surfaced a day after Shah's visit to Maharashtra, showing an ambulance waiting in traffic in suburb Andheri as Shah's convoy passed by. The traffic police said in a statement issued on the official Twitter handle that after questioning, the traffic officer present at the spot confirmed that there was no emergency patient in the ambulance and that the ambulance driver was unable to turn off the siren due to the fault. The allegations are false. After the video went viral on social media, many users criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and "VIP culture".

Significantly, Amit Shah had visited Lalbaugcha Raja, a prominent Ganesh pandal, on Monday during his two-day visit to the city. He also visited the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
