Security forces killed four terrorists in Shopian
An encounter has started between security forces and terrorists in Badigam area of Shopian in South Kashmir. Firing continues from both sides. Although the security forces first warned the terrorists to surrender, but the terrorists followed it and started firing.

An encounter has started between security forces and terrorists in Badigam area of Shopian in South Kashmir. Firing continues from both sides. Although the security forces first warned the terrorists to surrender, but the terrorists followed it and started firing. Around four terrorists have been cordoned off.
According to a police spokesperson, information was received about the hiding of terrorists in Badigam area located near Zainpora area of Shopian. Soon after, police and security forces launched a search operation in the area. Meanwhile, the terrorists hiding at one place started firing on the security forces. Earlier the terrorists were warned to surrender but the terrorists ignored it. Firing is still going on from both the sides. The entire area has been cordoned off. Although how many terrorists are hiding so far, it is not disclosed.
In the ongoing encounter in Shopian, a vehicle full of military personnel going to eliminate the terrorists overturned in the middle of the way. Due to this, four personnel in the vehicle have died. Earlier both the injured jawans were taken to Shopian Hospital for treatment where CMO Arshad Ahmed Tak declared them brought dead. They have been identified as Havildar Ram Avatar and Sepoy Pawan Gautam.
