Section 302 will be imposed on the accused in the Kanjhawala case, orders to suspend the policemen posted at the PCR van post

Kanjhawala cases Today Delhi Police Commissioner is going to take action against careless policemen. According to the information, 3 policemen posted in PCR vans and 2 policemen posted on pickets will be suspended. Special CP Shalini Singh has found him guilty in his investigation report. The Ministry of Home Affairs had asked them to suspend with immediate effect. It was also asked to add section 302 of murder in the FIR. Along with this, DCP was also asked to give show cause notice. If DCP's negligence is found, action has also been taken against him.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Delhi Police to file a charge sheet in the case at the earliest so that the culprits can be punished. The Delhi Police has also been ordered to ensure that there is no laxity in the investigation and to submit fortnightly reports regarding the progress of the investigation to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Home Ministry said that action should also be taken to improve the law and order situation in the capital so that people, especially women and children, can live in a fear-free environment. In this regard, a thorough investigation will be done whether PCR van units should be linked with the district police for better coordination. The PCR van was separated from the district police a few years back.

In outer Delhi, those areas where there are few or no CCTV cameras and the areas which do not have 'street lights' will be properly investigated by the police. The police will coordinate with civic agencies to install CCTV cameras and "street lights" in such areas. On the very first day of the new year, a girl's scooty was hit by a car and the accused kept dragging the girl trapped in the car on the roads for about 12 kms, due to which she died.
