SDPI and BJP leader killed in Alappuzha, Kerala, tension over two murders in 24 hours

A case of murder of two leaders has come to light in Alappuzha district of Kerala within 24 hours. A BJP leader was murdered in Alappuzha early today. Earlier on Saturday night, the leader of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) was murdered.

Police said the attack took place at the residence of advocate Ranjit Srinivas, the state secretary of BJP OBC Morcha, when he was getting ready for the morning walk. Ranjit had contested the recently held assembly elections as a BJP candidate.

SDPI State Secretary KS Shan was attacked by some people on Saturday night. Shaan was returning home on his bike when a car hit him. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
