Schools and colleges will open in Odisha from February 7

Colleges, universities, other technical education institutions and hostels will open from February 7 for classes VIII to XII in Odisha. Physical classes for students up to class VII will start from February 14. This information was given by Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Thursday. According to earlier, the number of people who died of corona and got infected in the state has come down significantly.

In view of the completion of large-scale vaccination of teachers and other staff and the decline in the third wave of Corona, the Center has asked the states to take a decision on opening schools. Sweety Changsan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education said that the guidelines have already been amended in this regard after consultations with the states. At the same time, Dr. VK Pal, member of NITI Aayog and head of the Task Force on Immunization, said that the Center only wants to ensure that the corona protocol is followed in the event of the school opening.
