Schools and Colleges shut in Uttar Pradesh till 23rd January

Amidst the overwhelming increase in the Covid numbers, the government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to shut all the schools and colleges till 23rd of January due to the surge in Covid numbers. The government has stated that they have taken this decision in the view of the safety of the students.

Before this, the government had taken a decision on the 6th of January that the schools and colleges will be closed till the 16th of January. Now, the government has further decided to shut the educational institutions till the 23rd of January. Though the physical classes are shut, the online classes will be taken by all the institutions so that the learning process of the students isn't hampered.

Apart from Delhi, the other states have also taken the decision to shut the educational institutes amidst the rising numbers of the Covid Cases. The state of Madhya Pradesh has also taken a decision to shut the schools and colleges till the 31st of January. The state of Bengaluru has also taken a decision to shut the institutes till 31st of January.
