SC asks Air Quality Commission to find a permanent solution to pollution in Delhi
The Supreme Court on Thursday, 16 December asked the Air Quality Commission (CAQM) to seek suggestions from the general public and experts for a permanent solution to the problem of air pollution in Delhi-NCR.

The Supreme Court on Thursday, 16 December asked the Air Quality Commission (CAQM) to seek suggestions from the general public and experts for a permanent solution to the problem of air pollution in Delhi-NCR.A bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana directed that the suggestions should be considered by experts constituted by the commission.
Hearing was held in the Supreme Court on a petition seeking measures to reduce Delhi's pollution. Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Suryakant were also included in this bench.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that talks were held with those who had filed the application. He said that companies manufacturing life saving equipment are allowed to use diesel gensets and dairy and medical manufacturing are also allowed to do the same.He said that, as far as industries are concerned, they were allowed for eight hours, but some of them have to work continuously.
