Saudi Arabia, Qatar currency worth Rs 51.25 lakh seized at Delhi airport

Saudi and Qatari currencies worth over Rs 51 lakh were seized from a Haridwar resident at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday and later by the Customs. got arrested.

According to an official statement issued by the customs department, officials of the customs department searched the personal belongings of Jaswinder Singh, who had gone to Dubai on suspicion.

The seized foreign currency worth Rs 51.25 lakh was confiscated under section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962 and Jaswinder Singh was subsequently arrested.

Jaswinder Singh Singh is a resident of Shahpur in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
