Saturday Bank Holiday: The Banks across India will open today, August 17 as it is the third Saturday of the month of August. Indian Banks will not remain closed on the first and third Saturday of every month and will stay closed on the second and fourth Saturday of every month.

As per the RBI, the Banks will remain closed across India on regional and national days based on the state of residence. On Sunday, some banks across India of certain areas remain closed while others open.

People are advised to call their local banks first before visiting them. This is because holidays vary from state to state and RBI holiday shows that banks will remain closed for seven days in August because of national and regional holidays excluding weekends.
