Salman Khan’s Generosity: Actor Gifts Over $10,000 to 65-Year-Old Crew Member

Salman Khan’s Generosity: Directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru actually began their journeys into film making with the great blockbuster Lucky: No Time for Love starring none other than Salman Khan. They have made various interviews to express their love for the superstar. During a conversation on MK Talks, they remembered the time when Salman did a favor to a crew member, who went into tears.

Salman's sweet gesture for 65-year-old crew member

Vinay Sapru recalled when he shot with Salman in Russia and how a 65-year-old woman from costume continuity was left in tears as the superstar left after the shoot with a hefty sum of money for her. He said, “Half of the crew was Russian, and the other half was Indian. We thought of assigning a special dresswoman for Salman ji, someone who would handle his costume continuity. She was a 65-year-old Russian woman—healthy and like a mother figure. She used to scold Salman on set, and despite being a huge star, he would just keep laughing.”

Radhika and Vinay added, “One day, she came on set with tears in her eyes, and we asked her, ‘Why are you crying?’ She said, ‘No, I got this envelope from Salman.’ Voh itna ro rahi thi, she said shayad mujhe 3-4 saal tak kuch karna hi naa pade. Voh unko thank you bhi nahi bol paayi. Voh insaan kuch aur hi level ke hain.” (She was crying so much. She said that maybe she wouldn’t have to work for the next 3-4 years. She couldn’t even thank him. He is a man of a completely different level.)

They revealed that the lady was paid by Salman more than $10,000. Radhika further informed us that Salman did not directly give the envelope to her but rather had already gone out of Russia after finishing filming, and that she received it afterwards.

Reddit users were very impressed by the generosity of Salman. One of the comments read, "Respect him for wanting to help others. This is special." One fan wrote, "I want to be like Salman in the future." Another comment read as, "Ok, that’s extremely sweet of him."

Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru are riding high and celebrating as their movie, Sanam Teri Kasam, has recently been re-released, and it became a massive success re-release, following its initial dismal theatrical run. According to Sacnilk, Sanam Teri Kasam made ₹33 crores during its re-release, bringing its total domestic net to ₹41.35 crore, and worldwide gross to ₹53 crores, with about ₹45 crores coming from this re-release.

Salman Khan’s upcoming movie

Salman, who has just completed shooting his movie Sikander, is now gearing up for the release of the movie. The action entertainer, directed by AR Murugadoss, will see Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal as part of an ensemble cast that also features Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in key roles. The film has a festive release on Eid this year.
