Salary of Delhi MLAs-Ministers increased - 136% of ministers, 66% increase of MLA's salary

Salaries of MLAs and ministers of Delhi have been increased. Under which now MLAs (MLAs) will get 90 thousand rupees every month. While the salary of the ministers and the chief minister has now gone up to Rs 1.70 lakh per month. In July 2022, the Delhi Assembly passed a proposal to increase the salary of MLAs and ministers. After getting the President's approval for this proposal, the Law Department of the Delhi government has issued a notification for salary hike.

The salary of legislators, ie MLAs, has been increased by 66.66 per cent from Rs 54,000 to Rs 90,000. Government ministers used to get Rs 72,000 till now, in which the salary has been increased by 136.11 percent to Rs 1,70,000. This is the first time since 2011 that the salaries and allowances of MLAs and ministers have been increased.
