Sachin Tendulkar told children at UNICEF program, sports help us to become better human beings

Legendary cricketer and UNICEF South Asia Regional Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar participated in the World Children's Day program organized by UNICEF at Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. On this occasion, he urged the children to move forward in the field of sports. Tendulkar told the children that sports help us become better human beings. A friendly children's futsal match was played on the occasion in which Sachin Tendulkar and UNICEF celebrity advocate Ayushmann Khurrana participated in a friendly children's futsal match between celebrities.

A choreographed dance was performed with the leaders and celebrities on the occasion. In this, the message of fair and equal treatment for all children was given.

Speaking at the event, Smt. Meeta Rajivlochan, Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India said, “The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports focuses on tailored and holistic welfare and development of youth through voluntary organizations across the country. Let us commit today to ensure that every child and young person in this country has the resources, skills, opportunities and space to express their views to lead India to a brighter tomorrow.”

Hundreds of children gathered on the occasion at Tyagraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi in a UNICEF program. A team of 20 children celebrated equality by playing a friendly futsal match with legendary cricketer and UNICEF Regional Goodwill Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar and Bollywood star and UNICEF celebrity advocate Ayushmann Khurrana. Renowned musician Ricky Kej, who is also a celebrity advocate for UNICEF, performed a concert. Around hundred children creatively displayed an art form depicting unity in diversity, inclusion and equality.
