According to the police, there is tension in the area, but the situation has been brought under control. Two companies of RAF have been deployed there. Police are deployed in all sensitive areas of Delhi and there is a high alert here.
The area was monitored by night-vision drones. Special Police Commissioner Deependra Pathak told late on Saturday night that the investigation has been started after registering an FIR. Pathak said that the situation is completely under control. The atmosphere is peaceful now. We are in constant touch with the people and are appealing to maintain peace and ignore rumors. An adequate number of police officers are present here for security.
The police team has obtained several video footage of the area. Some of these people have also been identified. Officials say that the culprits will be dealt with strictly. Delhi Police has constituted 10 teams to investigate the riots. The investigation of the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch.
