RT-PCR necessary for 6 countries from January: 72 hours old negative report a must

Amid increasing cases of corona in India, there is a plan to increase strictness on passengers coming from 6 countries including China from next week. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that a negative RT-PCR test report has been made mandatory from January 1, 2023, for passengers coming from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.

These passengers will have to upload their 72-hour-old negative RT-PCR test report on the Air Suvidha portal before travel. Here, official sources said that a virtual meeting has started between Mansukh Mandaviya and pharma companies regarding advance preparations for Corona.

According to a report published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, the booster dose of Kovid-19 is completely safe. Researchers at Israel's Tel Aviv University fitted nearly 5,000 Israelis with smartwatches and monitored their bodies for two years. Of these, 2,038 were given a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Apart from this, the team checked the safety of booster dose by studying the medical files of 2 lakh 50 thousand members of Maccabi Health Services. Dan Yamin, a professor at Tel Aviv University, said the smartwatch was used to monitor heartbeat, differences in heart activity, sleep, steps are taken, and other activities.
