After the failure to form the government in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, there is a churn in the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alliance. In such a situation, RLD's state chief Dr. Masood Ahmed has written an open letter to Jayant Chaudhary on Saturday, March 19, accusing him of selling tickets in the elections and has resigned from the party.
President Dr Masood Ahmed alleged that party tickets were sold to ineligible candidates before the UP elections and Muslims and Dalits were sidelined.
Jayant Chaudhary's RLD allied with Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party for the seven-phased assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. The SP alliance, which seemed confident of forming the government, was reduced to just 124 seats, in which the RLD had won only 8 seats.
