The visuals emerged during the cremation ceremony of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who passed away yesterday in Mumbai. Along with Bollywood superstars, many well-known celebrities attended the cremation ceremony and paid their deepest condolences to the country’s most beloved singer.

During the ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan, being a Muslim, offered dua with both his hands open in the front, whereas standing by his side, his manager Pooja Dadlani, Hindu by religion, joined her hands to offer Pranaam. Both were standing in one picture frame expressing the diverse religious and cultural practices of the country.

People and celebrities from all walks of life appreciated these gestures and the picture has gone viral on social media. Everyone including politicians, sportspersons, film personalities, medical professionals, students and business leaders took to their Twitter handle and tweeted it with positive and heart-warming messages highlighting the rich cultural unity of the country.

“Ishwar Allah tere naam, sabko sanmati de bhagwan,” Rana Safi, a well-known writer tweeted the picture with this message.

Some people do try to stoke a controversy out of nothing but social media trolled them badly for their insensitive remarks.
