Republic Day 2023: Tight security from ground to sky in Delhi
According to police officials, around 6,000 security personnel have been deployed in New Delhi district alone. A total of 24 help desks have been set up for those arriving at the Republic Day celebrations organized on the duty path. Police expect 60,000 to 65,000 people to attend the ceremony.

There is tight security in the national capital Delhi in view of the 74th Republic Day celebrations on Thursday. Under the multi-layered security system, the entire area around Raisina Hills has been converted into a cantonment. Those entering the city are being closely monitored at the borders of the capital. Today the whole world will see the cultural colors symbolizing diversity in unity with the bravery and valor of the Indian Army on the path of duty.

New Delhi's Deputy Commissioner of Police Pranab Tayal told the media that this year the entry to the event would be based on the QR code given on the 'pass'. No person will be allowed entry without a valid 'pass' or ticket. More than 150 CCTVs have been installed. Some of these are equipped with face recognition systems. Under security, the National Security Guard and the anti-drone team of the Defense Research and Development Organization are also ready. Additional check posts have been set up at the borders of the national capital. Vehicles entering the metropolis are being strictly checked. There is such a system of security in the sky that even a bird cannot kill. Flying of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remote operated aircraft, hot air balloons, small size aircraft, etc. is banned in Delhi till February 15.
