Reproductive Rights Website Disappears in Donald Trump Era After US Constitution Update: Report

Reproductive Rights: After Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States last Monday, the government website reproductiverights.gov mysteriously went offline.

Launched in 2022 by the Biden administration, the website provided essential information on reproductive rights, including access to abortion, cancer screenings, prenatal care, and HIV testing, as reported by CBS News.

The news comes amid growing fears that the Trump administration might alter federal websites that provide crucial information pertaining to reproductive rights and climate change. Scientists, researchers, and health advocates also fear the potential curtailment of publicly available data on these sensitive issues.

The White House, meanwhile, has added its voice to the controversy over what happened to the Constitution on its official website, as the now-nonexistent page leaves visitors with just a 404 error. This, too, has resulted in major complaints on social sites toward the new administration, questioning their stance on the founding document of this country.

The Department of Health and Human Services, which at one time maintained the website, has not commented on its being taken down.

White House responds to US Constitution disappearance case

White House Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields reassured the public, stating, “It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website. As part of this ongoing work, some of the archived content went dormant. We are committed to reloading that content in a short timeline.”

While new links to Trump's statements and executive orders came up, the missing Constitution and Bill of rights have raised some eyebrows. The White House is said to be bringing the content back up in the immediate future, but the episode left the public with a bad taste in their mouths over the intended future of important federal resources.

This caused a stir on social networks, as netizens openly carried heated discussions on questions regarding the stance of the newly-instated Trump administration on the foundational framework of the United States.
