Reliance Group : Reliance launches its FMCG brand, first outlet of 'Independence' started in Gujarat
The brand has been launched by Reliance Consumer Products Limited, the FMCG arm and a subsidiary of the country's leading retailing firm Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). RRVL director Isha Ambani had announced to start her FMCG goods business on August 29 during the AGM of Reliance Industries.

Reliance Retail on Thursday announced the launch of its consumer packaged goods brand 'Independence' in Gujarat. As part of its ambition to expand business in the FMCG segment, Reliance is working on a national rollout plan to expand business soon.
The brand has been launched by Reliance Consumer Products Limited, the FMCG arm and a subsidiary of the country's leading retailing firm Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). RRVL director Isha Ambani had announced to start her FMCG goods business on August 29 during the AGM of Reliance Industries.
Under the 'Independence' brand, the company will offer a range of products under multiple categories, including pulses and cereals, processed food items and other daily essentials, the company said in a statement. The company also plans to develop Gujarat as the "go-to-market" state for excellence in its FMCG business, as it prepares to become the base for a national rollout for the brand.
Isha Ambani said the FMCG brand is in the process of bringing a wide range of affordable products including edible oils, pulses, cereals, packaged foods and other daily need products. He said the brand is a 'truly Indian solution to real Indian problems'. This creates an emotional attachment and creates a sense of inclusion among Indians. In the coming months, the company plans to cover FMCG retailers across Gujarat.
