The Kashmir Valley has broken all the previous records in terms of tourism in the last three months. More than 3.40 lakh tourists visited the valley in the months of January, February and March. In the month of March, maximum 1.8 lakh tourists reached Kashmir.

The rush of tourists has forced the government to increase the number of flights operating at Srinagar airport. About 92 flights operate from Srinagar Airport every day, in which the number of passengers is about 15 thousand whereas in the previous months this number was much less.
In the last 7 days of April, 58 thousand tourists have come to the valley. The Tulip Garden was opened in the last week of March and on April 2, more than 50 thousand people had come to the garden. Ahsan-ul-Haq, Deputy Director of Tourism, said in this matter, 'In the month of January, we were getting about 60 thousand tourists. In February, it increased to 1 lakh and in March, the place had a record-breaking number of 1.8 lakh tourists.
About 3 thousand tourists have come to the Tulip Garden. The government says that looking at the figures, it seems that all the previous records of the people gathering in the garden are being broken. Travel agents in the Valley say that all 4 and 5 star hotels and properties are fully booked for the next two months. Even mid-range hotels have been booked till June.
