Rajinikanth Admitted to Hospital: Rajinikanth admitted to a private hospital in Chennai last night. He is likely to undergo an elective procedure today. As per PTI sources, he is stable. No official word from hospital or Rajinikanth’s family yet.

In 2020, Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad with ‘severe hypertension and exhaustion’. He was discharged on Dec 27th after his blood pressure stabilised and was advised 7 days rest by doctors.

Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, had then said in a statement. “In view of his post-transplant status, labile hypertension and age” he has to be in complete bed rest for 1 week with regular monitoring of his blood pressures and “has also been counselled to avoid any activity that increases the risk of Covid-19”.

Rajinikanth also had a Covid test on Dec 22nd 2020 and though it was negative, he isolated himself. He had a kidney transplant in 2016.

Rajinikanth’s much awaited Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is releasing on Oct 10th. Vettaiyan is Rajinikanth’s 170th film. Earlier the production house had released the title teaser of the film on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday.

The film has an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.

Rajinikanth has been shooting for his next film Coolie for the past few weeks. The shoot is happening in Visakhapatnam. He went to Chennai on Sep 20th to attend the audio launch of Vettaiyan.

At the audio launch, Rajinikanth performed the hookstep of Manasilaayo with Anirudh and Super Subbu. He also spoke for almost an hour at the event.

Vettaiyan is Rajinikanth’s next, releasing on Oct 10th. It’s an action drama directed by TJ Gnanavel.

The hospitalisation of Rajinikanth has caused worry among his die-hard fans. Many X users posted messages praying for his speedy recovery.
