Rajasthan News : Uproar over suicide of female doctor, private hospital closed in Jaipur

A female doctor has committed suicide in Dausa district of Rajasthan. It is being told that the police had registered a case against female doctor Archana Sharma for being negligent in the treatment of a pregnant woman. Due to this, she committed suicide. After the suicide of a female doctor, apart from Rajasthan, doctors from Delhi have also protested.

Doctors of private hospitals in Jaipur and Dausa are on a one-day strike to protest against the suicide of a female doctor. He has demanded action against the accused. Resident doctors of Delhi AIIMS have also protested the incident by wearing black bandages on their arms.

A pregnant woman died during treatment at a private hospital in Dausa. After the death of the woman, her family created a ruckus outside the hospital. After the complaint of the relatives, the police had registered a case against Dr. Archana Sharma and her husband Dr. Sunit Upadhyay under section 302. It was said in the FIR that the patient died due to the negligence of the hospital and the doctor.

Rajasthan Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena has expressed grief over the incident. He said that due to slight negligence, the woman had to commit suicide. When the Supreme Court has said that a case cannot be registered against the doctor in 302 then why did the police register a case?
