There has been rain in more than 12 districts of Jaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Bharatpur divisions of Rajasthan. Jaipur broke the 4-year record of rain in one day in January. The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for the districts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Bharatpur divisions for the next 3 days.
The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert in Madhya Pradesh. Light rain has occurred in Gwalior, Ratlam, Indore and Bhopal. Light to heavy rain may occur in 17 districts of the state. Mumbai and Delhi also received rain on Saturday.
According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi has recorded about 70 mm of rain in January this year. This is the highest in this month in the last 32 years. A senior official of the department said that 69.8 mm of rain has been recorded in Delhi till 9.30 pm on Saturday night.
