Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ LIVE: The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi (senior Congress leader) on a 16 day long tour of Bihar, starting his Voter Adhikar Yatra on Sunday (August 17, 2025) in Sasaram in poll bound Bihar.
The Yatra will be spread over 1,300 kilometres, and would culminate with a mega rally on September 1, in Patna when leaders of other INDIA parties would also be present.

Sharing details of his Yatra in a post on X, Mr. Gandhi said, “16 days. 20+ districts. 1,300+ km. We are coming among the people with the Voter Rights Yatra.” “This is the fight to protect the most fundamental democratic right — ‘one person, one vote.’ Join us in Bihar to save the Constitution,” Mr. Gandhi added.

The spokesperson of the party, Pawan Khera addressed media persons stating that this Yatra will become another milestone in Indian democratic history.
“Whenever Rahul Gandhi has embarked upon such a march, democracy has turned a new page,” he said, adding that “The Yatra will be a historic journey, which will prove to be a milestone in the fight for the existence of all of us.”

Describing, he said, other partners of the INDIA bloc will be included in the Yatra besides Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav.
On Sunday, the Congress accused the Election Commission of being “totally exposed” not only because of its “incompetence” but also its “blatant partisanship” after the poll body lashed at the Opposition party over its alleged “vote chori” allegations.
The allegations by the ECI that it does not draw any distinction between the ruling party and the Opposition also as far as the Congress is concerned were termed as laughable.
