The former employees of ex-ICICI Bank discussed their stories in a way that showed a harrowing pattern, according to Rahul Gandhi, during his meet with them on Friday at the Parliament.

Rahul Gandhi Slams BJP: Under the rule of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi on Saturday stated that cronyism and regulatory mismanagement in India have driven the country's banking sector into a crisis which now forces junior employees "to endure stress and poisonous work conditions".
Through a post on X, Gandhi even shared a video footage along with a group of ex-employees of ICICI bank most whom, according to him, have suffered from the "mismanagement" to which he declared the Congress would fight for such working-class professionals and end "harassment and workplace exploitation". Gandhi also asked how much the Modi Government has written off for its charges of ₹16 lakh crore for their "billionaire friends". "Thousands of honest working professionals," according to Gandhi, are the direct readers of the cost of "economic mismanagement" by the Central government.
"The BJP government has written off ₹16 lakh crore in loans for their billionaire friends. Cronyism, coupled with regulatory mismanagement, has pushed India's banking sector into crisis. This burden is ultimately borne by junior employees, who endure stress and toxic work conditions," he said in his post.

"Their stories reveal a disturbing pattern -- workplace harassment, forced transfers, retaliation for exposing unethical lending to NPA violators, and terminations without due process. In two tragic cases, this led to suicide. If you are a working professional who has faced similar injustice share your story with me at https://rahulgandhi.in/awaazbharatki," he said.
A delegation of employees met Gandhi at his office in the Parliament House Complex, as per PTI.
Their meeting with leader of the opposition divulged the cases of grievous misconduct by the bank. They narrated how they were "abruptly terminated" while on medical leave or for raising legitimate concerns regarding management practices.
