On many occasions., an attempt was also made to kill him for not obeying their commands. Sugat also made a written complaint to the warden and dean of the hostel, but there was no action taken.
According to Sugat's letter to the dean, the beds were not provided even after several requests from him. Because of which he had to sleep on the ground below. But even after objecting several times, other roommates kept their shoes and slippers near his bed. He was scolded by the warden for drying clothes in the hostel gallery like other students.
Apart from this, he was forced to wash utensils and tiffins. If he refused, a roommate threatened to throw him down from the eighth floor. To humiliate him, casteist abuses were used and teased by calling him Chindi. Upset over this, Sugat went to his village Hingoli, due to which his lecture attendance was also badly affected.
