COVID-19 positive Manoj Bajpayee says he got 'infected because someone else was not following the rule'
After being tested positive for deadly coronavirus, Actor Manoj Bajpayee immediately went under home quarantine, following all the necessary COVID-19 protocols. Because of this, the actor was unable to physically attend the recent trailer launch of his upcoming web film and therefore made a virtual appearance.
During the media interaction, the actor opened up on being tested positive for coronavirus while unveiling that he got infected because someone was not following the rules. He further spoke about filming amid the pandemic and said, "There are no issues if COVID-19 protocols are followed. The production house made sure that everyone followed the COVID-19 protocol. There is a limitation with the new normal but we have to get used to it. We could complete the film only because we followed the protocol. Of course, it takes time to adjust. Sanitisers and masks have become part of our life. But we have to continue working."
Earlier the actor's team announced him being COVID-19 positive, by stating that "Manoj Bajpayee is tested positive after his director was infected with it. The shoot has stopped and will resume in a couple of months. Manoj Bajpayee is on medication and is recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions. Notably, the actor was shooting for his upcoming ott film which is directed by titli film director Kanu Bhel who has also got in contact with this deadly virus.
However, there are many Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kriti Sanon, and others infected with the coronavirus in the last few days.
Meanwhile, several other actors like Saif Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Satish Shah, Rakesh Roshan, Paresh Rawal among others have taken covid vaccine shots after the launch of vaccination drive in the country.
