Quad Summit 2022: PM Modi to attend the conference to be held in Tokyo, Here's What is Quad, Why does it Terrorize China?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Quad Summit to be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, on 24 May. Apart from Prime Minister Modi, US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida and Prime Minister of Australia will also attend this conference. Current Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been defeated in the general election held in Australia today. In such a situation, it is believed that Anthony Albanese can join the Quad as the new Prime Minister on behalf of Australia at the Quad conference.

The eyes of the whole world will be on this Quad conference because on this day Russia and Ukraine will complete three months of the war. The war between the two countries started on 24 February. This meeting is also considered important from India's point of view, as the Chinese movement near the LAC has intensified. An aggressive statement can be issued on behalf of the Quad countries on the attitude of China.

In 2004, there was a tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Its coastal countries were greatly affected. Then India, America, Australia, and Japan together helped the tsunami-affected countries. After this, in 2007, the then Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, formed the Quad (QUAD) i.e. the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.

The four countries in the Quad are the US, Japan, Australia, and India. Between 2007 and 2010, the Quad held meetings every year but stopped after that. It is said that then China put a lot of pressure on Australia, after which it started making distance from the quad. However, in 2017 again the heads of state of the four countries together decided to strengthen the Quad.
