Pushpa 2 Advance Booking Breaks Records: 3 Lakh Tickets Sold in 12 Hours

Pushpa 2: Even before the release Pushpa 2: The Rule directed by Sukumar is creating history at the box office.

In the Hindi market 50,000 tickets are sold in leading multiplex chains PVR Inox and Cinepolis for the opening day.

In just 12 hours of opening bookings, the count reached 55,000 tickets, one of the fastest selling films in Hindi cinema history.

Bookings have crossed Animal and Gadar 2, the excitement for the film is huge across India.

Pushpa 2 is expected to sell 5 lakhs in national chains by tonight and may touch 6 lakhs, which will be the closest to Baahubali 2 (6.5 lakhs in 2017) in 7 years.

The response is even more explosive in non-national chains and single screens. Many single screens have put up houseful boards just hours after the bookings opened.

Pushpa 2 demand is unprecedented, single screens are reporting all-time records.

For example MovieMax has sold 4000 tickets in just 12 hours which is a record no other film has achieved so fast.

Karnataka leads the pack in advance bookings, followed closely by Telangana and Maharashtra. Each state has surpassed the Rs 2 crore mark in day 1 advance booking revenue. With this pace, Pushpa 2 is on track to comfortably cross the Rs 12 crore mark in day 1 pre-sales at the Indian box office.

Kerala is leading the pre-sales, contributing nearly 63% of the total bookings. Meanwhile, cine-goers in Delhi UT are showing significant interest, with the region accounting for 34% of the pre-sales, amounting to Rs 7.2K so far.

As of Friday morning, Kerala continues to dominate with around 60% of total sales, followed by Delhi with 30%. Trade analysts predict a sharp rise in ticket sales over the next two days as excitement builds. With over 1 million interests on BookMyShow.
