Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala Shot Dead in Broad Daylight merely a Day After Security Withdrawn
Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in a firing incident at Jawaharke in Mansa district.

In a tragic incident, prominent Punjabi Singer and Congress Leader Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa district today. This happened a day after the Punjab government withdrew the security of 424 people, out of which, Moosewla was one.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was his name, but he was prominently famous by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala and was a sensation in the Punjabi Music Industry. The attack took place when the singer along with his two friends was driving to their village Mansa in Punjab.
He had contested the Punjab assembly election on a Congress ticket. Not long ago, another Punjabi singer Deep Sidhu was killed in a road accident for his active role in farmers’ protests.
From their official Twitter handle, the Congress Party said, "The murder of Shri Sidhu Moose Wala, Congress candidate from Punjab & a talented musician, has come as a terrible shock to the Congress party & the entire nation. Our deepest condolences to his family, fans & friends. We stand united & undeterred, at this time of extreme grief.
Randeep Singh Surjewala, General Secretary, Indian National Congress took to his Twitter and wrote, "Deeply shocked at the broad daylight murder of Sidhu Moosewala. Punjab & Punjabis across the world have lost a talented artist with mass connections, who could feel people’s pulse. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and fans across the world.
Thrashing the Aam Aadmi Government, former Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh wrote, "Brutal murder of Sidhu Moosewala is shocking. My profound condolences to the bereaved family. Law and order have completely collapsed in Punjab. Criminals have no fear of the law. AAP Punjab government has miserably failed. Nobody is safe in Punjab.
