Punjab News: BSF jawans fired Pakistani balloons on the border in Gurdaspur

The soldiers posted at BOP Chautara of BSF's 58 Battalion falling under Gurdaspur shot down a Pakistani balloon flying on the Indo-Pak border. Soon after the incident, BSF DIG Prabhakar Joshi took stock of the Pakistani balloon that fell on the border. Along with this a search operation was also conducted in the area.
DIG Prabhakar Joshi said that on Tuesday night, Yogesh, a BSF jawan posted at the said post, saw an object entering Indian territory from Pakistan's side through the sky. In a vigil, BSF personnel fired illu bombs at objects violating Indian airspace. After this, Jawan Ramchandra fired and dropped the flying object on the ground.
On seeing it came to know that it is a Pakistani balloon. He told that BSF personnel are fully prepared on the Indian border.
