Punjab News : BSF firing on Pakistani drone in Gurdaspur, drug cache recovered
BSF's 113 Battalion shot down a Pakistani drone late on Saturday night at the Border Out Post (BOP) Bangar in Ghania. Search operation is being conducted by BSF and Police at the place where the drone fell. DIG Prabhakar Joshi has given information about this.

BSF has shot down a drone in Gurdaspur, Punjab. BSF jawans started firing on hearing the sound. During patrolling, some suspicious activities were noticed in the fog. After this firing was done. BSF's 113 Battalion shot down a Pakistani drone late on Saturday night at the Border Out Post (BOP) Bangar in Ghania. Search operation is being conducted by BSF and Police at the place where the drone fell. DIG Prabhakar Joshi has given information about this.
BSF Deputy Inspector General Prabhakar Joshi told reporters in Gurdaspur that some suspicious movement was noticed by BSF constable Hemram while patrolling in dense fog at 5:30 am. When they challenged the smugglers, they started firing from Pakistan side. Our jawans also fired in response. The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday recovered 20 packets of heroin and a cache of arms and ammunition after an encounter with Pakistani smugglers near the international border between India and Pakistan at Gurdaspur in Punjab. The encounter started after the 113 battalion of BSF noticed suspicious movement of smugglers near Khasawali village in Gurdaspur district on Saturday, an official said.
BSF Deputy Inspector General Prabhakar Joshi said in Gurdaspur that at 5:30 am, during patrolling in dense fog, BSF constable Hemram noticed some suspicious movement. When they challenged the smugglers, they started firing from Pakistan side. BSF jawans also fired in response.
