Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Launches Hi-Tech Ambulances: On Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Chandigarh Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann flagged off 58 new hi-tech ambulances for the state. This official ceremony was held near the CM's residence.
Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said this innovative solution has launched the hi-tech ambulance for the public of Punjab to make health care more accessible.

“These ultra modern ambulances have been mandated to reach the needy patients within 15 minutes in urban Areas and 20 minutes in rural areas,” the chief minister said.
CM Mann further added, “The 58 hi-tech ambulances have been purchased at a cost of Rs 14 crore and are equipped with life saving drugs and ultra modern equipment. These ambulances will act as a catalyst to provide primary treatment to the patients so that their lives are saved well in time.”
The CM said that the health and education sectors are the priority of the AAP government making steps toward a revolution.

“You can track (these) ambulances in real-time. These ambulances will work in tandem with Sadak Surkhya Force,” Mann further added.
The Punjab government claimed that there are 325 such ambulances that have been launched.
“The fleet of ambulances in the state has been already doing a great service to humanity as more than one lakh patients were safely transported to hospitals through these ambulances in the current year,” an official said.
According to officials, the ambulances are currently under operation and will be used by 10,737 heart patients and 28,540 pregnant women. They also said the delivery of around 80 babies with safely in this ambulance.
This new hi-tech ambulance claims that it could reach to needy people in just 15 minutes in Urban Areas and it will take 20 minutes to reach in Rural Areas.
They also added the Sadak Surkhaya Force is using the ambulance service for travellers who come under the situation of road accidents by coordinating with the 108 helpline number.
