Punjab bought Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin to play for Rajasthan Royals

Indian opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan's name was at number one in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction and his name was fiercely bid. In this bid, Punjab won and bought them for Rs 8 crore 25 lakh. He was in Delhi till the last season i.e. 2021, but in this season he has now belonged to Punjab. Although Delhi also bid for him, but he could not leave Punjab behind. Shikhar Dhawan's base price was Rs 2 crore and he was included in the 10 marquee players.

Shikhar Dhawan will now be seen opening for Punjab with Mayank Agarwal. Shikhar Dhawan has had a stellar IPL career and has so far scored 5784 runs in 192 matches at an average of 34.84 in this league. This includes two centuries and 44 half-centuries. In these IPL matches, Dhawan has hit 654 fours and 124 sixes so far.

R Ashwin, who was part of Delhi, will now be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals this time. Ashwin's base price was also Rs 2 crore and he was sold for Rs 5 crore. Now Ashwin and Jos Buttler will be seen playing together for Rajasthan.
