Pune Residents Worship Tree Gushing 'Holy Water' — The Shocking Reality Revealed
The video shows people offering garlands and pouring turmeric and vermillion to the trunk of the tree while claiming this is "miracle water" with "healing powers".

A peculiar incident recently happened in Pune when people flocked to Pimpri's Premlok Park area, where "holy water" appeared to flow from the trunk of a gulmohar tree. Disturbing pictures appeared on social media showing scenes of locals gathering in reverence where the tree was, offering garlands and putting turmeric and vermillion on the tree, thinking that it was really being exuded in the form of holy water. But the local municipality authority later indicated that the 'holy water' was leaking from an underground water pipe.
According to local news reports, this strange occurrence happened on the main road adjacent to the Sahara Society on Friday June 6th. A video filmed by locals showed people offering garlands and turmeric and vermillion to the trunk of the tree, where they believe it was "miracle water" with "healing powers" was leaking out of. However, once the incident grabbed the attention of the overall region the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) decided to investigate the incident and subsequently the PCMC found the source of the leak to be from a leaking water pipe.

"How can we progress as a nation if these kind of things still happen in 2025," commented another.
"2025 and we wonder why India isn't progressing," said a third user. "If only we chased education, infrastructure, and healthcare with the same speed we chase miracles," wrote one user.
This is not the first time this has occurred. Last year, a similar event took place at Mathura's Banke Bihari Mandir. Devotees queued to collect and drink water dribbling from an elephant statue, which devotees believed was 'Charan Amrit' (Holy water from the feet of Lord Krishna). However, the fountain was simply water leaking from the air conditioning unit, as the temple priest confirmed. Although the devotees have received disconfirmation, many devotees still collected, drank, and splashed this water on themselves. The video generated various discussions over the actions of the devotees involved.
