Mohammed Siraj’s Heated Send-Off to Travis Head Sparks Controversy in Adelaide

Prostate Cancer: Mohammed Siraj was already under scrutiny for throwing angrily at the stumps on day one during the pink-ball Test at Adelaide, and the Indian pacer must have rubbed match referee a bit further on Saturday with his no-look appeal for an lbw against Marnus Labuschagne.
Australia was 86 for 1 at the instant on the second day of the second Test, with Siraj resuming bowling alongside Jasprit Bumrah for India.

On the third over of the day, Siraj hit a good length to have Labuschagne, batting on 23, in two minds and half forward in defence, as the ball took an inside edge onto the Australian batter's pads. But with his arms stretched wide, Siraj began his celebration without even initially making an appeal to the umpire and turned his head back only after crossing the batter.
Umpire Richard Illingworth shook his head, and captain Rohit Sharma also believed that the batter had nicked the ball before it hit his pads, so declined to ask for a review.

The replays will confirm the inside-edge. But it might have done a little more damage for Siraj as it is not the first time that he broke into that no-look celebration and was involved in another incident on the first day of the match.
Bowling the 10th over of his spell on Friday late in the evening, Siraj had to pull up just before delivering as Labuschagne moved away from the stumps spotting a spectator walking across the sight screen while carrying a 'beer snake'. Not happy, a frustrated Siraj threw the ball towards the stumps in anger.

Throwing the ball near the batter is against the ICC's Code of Conduct and therefore, Siraj would be subject to punishment after the Adelaide Test.
