Priyanka's entry into Congress's National Plan: Taskforce formed for 2024, two leaders of the G-23 faction in the Political Affairs Group
The Congress has included two leaders of the G-23 faction, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Shashi Tharoor, along with Priyanka Gandhi in its National Plan.
Congress has started preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Party's interim president Sonia Gandhi has constituted a task force for this. Along with this, an 8-member Political Affairs Committee (PAC) has also been formed. Congress's PAC includes veteran leaders like MP Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni, Digvijay Singh, Anand Sharma, KC Venugopal, and Jitendra Singh.
Looking at the members of the task force formed for the 2024 elections, the names of P Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, Priyanka Gandhi, Randeep Surjewala, Sunil Kangolu are spotted. The Congress has included two leaders of the G-23 faction, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Shashi Tharoor, along with Priyanka Gandhi in its National Plan.
Many big faces have been included in the Central Planning Group for Bharat Jodo Yatra. Digvijay Singh, Sachin Pilot, Shashi Tharoor, Ranveer Singh Bittu, KJ George, Jothi Mani, Pradyut Boldoloi, Jeetu Patwari, and Salim Ahmed have been included in this.
The Congress had recently convened a Chintan Shivir in Udaipur to discuss the party's position and the strategy ahead. In this camp, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had talked about organizational change. Along with this, the formation of the Political Affairs Group and Task Force was also announced to prepare for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
