Prince William Jokes About Baldness While Admiring Woman’s Red Hair

Prince William Jokes: The Prince of Wales was again the source of much amusement when, during his most recent visit to the West Midlands in England, he played wit with a remark that sounded very self-deprecating concerning his hair thinning.

A lighthearted moment with locals

Said report by Daily Mail says that the Prince of Wales was at a referee training course run by The Football Association at Sporting Khalsa FC, Willenhall, to recruit 1,000 referees from Black, Asian and mixed heritage backgrounds.

While chit chatting with students and local residents, came a strange lady with the bright red hair, gains his attention. Clearly impressed, he exclaimed, "Look at your hair! It’s fantastic," before bursting into laughter. He then quipped, "Wish I had hair like that. I know, I’ve not a chance," adding to the amusement of those around him.

Social media reacts to Prince William’s humour

A short clip featuring this lighthearted experience has now also been shared via social media site X, where netizens appreciated the Prince's charitable disposition.

One user commented, "Say what you want about William, but the man has a great sense of humour!"

Another wrote, “At least he embraces it. Love a man who can laugh at himself!”

Another remarked, "At least he still has the best crown waiting for him," making a playful nod to his future as King.

Not the first hair joke

In fact, this is not the first time that Prince William has poked fun at his thinning hair. He did so back in 2020. While addressing the crowd at the launch of the Earthshot Prize, he cracked "I initiated this two years back. It seems to have been four years in making now, but at the start, I 'had hair'."

He cheekily referred to a few next-door barber in 2017 while visiting a homeless charity-run café, "Not much hair really, so can't sell you much".
