Prime Minister thanks Ukraine for helping in evacuating more than 20000 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the authorities in Ukraine for helping in the evacuation process of more than 20,000 students who were stranded due to a war between the two countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the authorities in Ukraine for helping in the evacuation process of more than 20,000 students who were stranded due to a war between the two countries.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi spoke to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine in detail to get an update on the ongoing conflict situation. PM Modi reiterated its earlier stand regarding an immediate ceasefire of violence.
The Indian government has always advocated a peaceful resolution of disputes between the two countries through the means of dialogue and direct negotiations.
According to the PMO, “President Zelenskyy briefed the Prime Minister in detail about the conflict situation and the ongoing negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. Prime Minister expressed deep concern about the ongoing conflict and resultant humanitarian crisis. Prime Minister reiterated his call for an immediate cessation of violence and noted that India has always stood for peaceful resolution of issues and direct dialogue between the two parties.”
It added, “Prime Minister thanked Ukrainian authorities for their facilitation in evacuating more than 20000 Indian citizens from Ukraine. He expressed deep concern for the safety and security of Indian students still remaining in Ukraine and emphasized the need for their quick and safe evacuation.”
