Prime Minister Modi gets the second dose of vaccine administered at AIIMS, Delhi
The vaccine shot was given to the Indian leader by P Niveda, a nurse from Puducherry who also administered him his first dose of the vaccine and Nisha Sharma, a nurse from Punjab.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the second dose of Covaxin, the vaccine which is domestically developed by Indian Council of Medical Research and Bharat Biotech. The Indian Prime Minister got the second shot of Covaxin at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Science.
The Prime Minister got administered the second shot in the early hours of Thursday, hours before his evening meeting with Chief Ministers where he is set to probably discuss the inoculation drive and the probable second wave of Covid-19 which is hitting the certain states in India.
The vaccine shot was given to the Indian leader by P Niveda, a nurse from Puducherry who also administered him his first dose of the vaccine and Nisha Sharma, a nurse from Punjab.
After a recent study had advised for a gap of four to eight weeks to be observed between the two doses of Covid-19 for better efficacy, the Indian government had made it mandatory for the gap to be followed by Indians.
Prime Minister Modi got the second dose of the vaccine administered after a gap of 37 days to abide by the new vaccine guidelines.
He posted about this development on Twitter, urging people eligible for the vaccine to get it administered to themselves.
