Prime Minister Modi congratulates Dr Bhagwat Karad for the medical assistance provided to the passenger on board the IndiGo flight

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Finance Minister Dr Bhagwat Karad for providing medical assistance to a passenger on an IndiGo flight when he complained of dizziness. The Prime Minister wrote: “A doctor in the heart, always! Excellent gesture from my colleague, Doctor Bhagwat Karad.

Karad was on IndiGo flight 6E 171 from Delhi to Mumbai when the accident occurred. A passenger started to complain about the discomfort. The cabin crew immediately called a doctor and Karad, a surgeon by profession, went to help them.

Karad retweeted the Prime Minister's appreciation for his gesture and wrote: “Thank you, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. The patient was sweating profusely and had low blood pressure. I took off her clothes, lifted her legs, massaged her chest, and gave her glucose. She felt better after 30 minutes, ”Dr Karad told ANI news agency.
