Prime Minister chairs high level meeting to review evacuation of Indian students
To review the efforts to bring back stuck students under the current Operation Ganga, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting which is the second one since the issue has come up.

The government of India is making all efforts to evacuate Indian students stuck in Ukraine. It has initiated Operation Ganga for this purpose.

“The entire government machinery is working round the clock to ensure that all Indian nationals there are safe and secure,” the Prime Minister said in a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office.
“The Prime Minister pointed that the visit of four senior ministers as his Special Envoys to various nations will energize the evacuation efforts. It is reflective of the priority the Government attaches to this matter,” the PMO said in the statement.
It added, “The Prime Minister noted that the first consignment of relief supplies to Ukraine to deal with the humanitarian situation on Ukraine’s borders would be despatched tomorrow.”
The Prime Minister also said that India will also help students of other neighbouring countries who are stranded in various places in Ukraine.
“Guided by India’s motto of the world being one family, Prime Minister also stated that India will help people from neighbouring countries and developing countries who are stranded in Ukraine and may seek assistance,” the PMO stated.
More than 1500 students and Indian nationals have been brought back in various flights ran by Ministry of External Affairs under the Operation.
