President Murmu approves 412 gallantry awards Major Shubhang of Dogra Regiment honored with Kirti Chakra

Major Shubhang's name is also included in the recipients of gallantry awards. He displayed exceptional gallantry during an operation in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. During this, he displayed his fighting skills and carried out a fatal attack on a terrorist and killed him. Also Major Shubhang had saved the injured soldiers.

The President approved 412 gallantry awards and other defense decorations on the eve of 74th Republic Day. In which many medals including 6 Kirti Chakra, 15 Shaurya Chakra, 92 Sena Medal, 29 Param Vishisht Seva Medal are included. According to the Defense Ministry, 6 Kirti Chakras including four posthumous and 15 Shaurya Chakras including two posthumous have been announced.
