President inaugurates new building of Secretariat in Chandigarh, now degrees will be distributed to students in PEC

President Draupadi Murmu is in Chandigarh today. Today she will participate in two big programs in the city. The President has just inaugurated the new building of the UT Secretariat located in Sector-9. Here he had a program of 20 to 25 minutes. He was accompanied by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit, Advisor Dharam Pal and other administrative officers.

After inaugurating the new building of the Secretariat, the President also took stock of the office and other infrastructure built inside. Rashtrati had arrived at 10 o'clock to inaugurate the new building. After this, the President has reached the program organized in Punjab Engineering College Sector-12. Here President Murmu will distribute degrees to the students.

With the shifting of all the offices of the old secretariat to the new secretariat built at a cost of Rs 80 crore, the first government offices in different parts of the city will also be shifted. With this people will not need to go from place to place. Shifting all types of offices in the same building will reduce their problems. At present, 2 floors have been prepared in the new secretariat. There are 6 floors in the entire building.

The entire building of the Secretariat was decorated with flowers for the inauguration. Apart from this, traffic was stopped by closing the roads at many places in Sector 9 and 8. It was diverted from other places. The entire road through which the President's convoy passed was closed since 8:00. Now the President has left for Punjab Engineering College Sector 12 from Sector 9. During this, a large number of policemen have been deployed in Sector 9 market, Sector 10 market and Sector 11 market, traffic has been diverted.
