Prajwal Revanna Flees Country: Prajwal Revanna, an MP from the Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS), filed a complaint on Sunday, alleging that the obscene videos being circulated are doctored.

He also fled to Germany, according to reports.

In Karnataka, incumbent Prajwal is contesting the Hassan Lok Sabha seat as the joint candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JD(S).

JD(S) candidates have been fielded from Hassan, Kolar, and Mandya on behalf of the BJP-JD(S).

He is the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda.

According to the Congress, a pen drive containing pornographic videos revealed that MP and NDA candidate Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulted thousands of women.

Late Saturday evening, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the formation of the SIT after the state's women's commission requested the government investigate allegations that "influential politicians sought sexual favors" from women, "raping some of them".

According to reports, the Karnataka Mahila Dourjanya Virodhi Vedike filed a complaint with the Women's Commission.

Several pen drives and social media sites were circulating images of the politician sexually abusing women and coercing them into having sex, according to the News Minute report.

According to the report, Prajwal Revanna is seen with numerous women in the videos.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at four back-to-back election rallies in Karnataka.

In response to the complaint, the Karnataka government formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate an alleged sex scandal involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.

"Obscene video clips are circulating in Hassan district showing women being sexually assaulted," the chief minister said.

According to Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 A (Assault or criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), Sections 354 D, Sections 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation), and Section 509 (words, gestures, or acts that insult a woman's modesty).

According to Prajwal's uncle, H.D. Kumaraswamy, he and his father, Deve Gowda, have always been respectful to women and listened to their complaints.

According to news agency ANI, a CID [Crime Investigation Department] wing SIT in the 'obscene video' case will be led by IPS officer Vijay Kumar Singh.

The team will include Director General CID Suman D Pennekar and IPS officer Seema Latkar.

NDTV reports Prajwal Revanna has filed a complaint, alleging the videos are morphed and circulated to "tarnish his image and poison voters' minds."

A day after Siddaramaiah called for a special investigation team to probe the scandal, he filed the FIR.

According to News Minute, Prajwal Revanna had also filed a case against Naveen Gowda last year.

An ex-parte injunction was also obtained from the Principal City Civil and Sessions Court against 89 media houses preventing them from publishing any "defamatory" content about him based on his claims that the visuals were morphed to show him, according to the report.

In the 14 remaining Karnataka constituencies, the Congress has fresh ammunition to attack the BJP-JD(S) alliance.

Prajwal is accused of sexual assault by two women who appeared on Kannada TV news channel Power TV.

In an X post to the PM, Karnataka Rural Development and Information Technology minister Priyank Kharge asked, “Why you gave the Hassan parliamentary ticket to a JDS candidate, despite knowing that hundreds of women were abused by the candidate?”

Amid the controversy surrounding Prajwal Revanna's purported sex tapes, the BJP distanced itself from him.

In a statement, S Prakash, the state unit spokesperson of the BJP, said, "We have nothing to do with the videos and do not have any comments to make regarding the SIT probe announced by the state government into the alleged sex scandal involving Prajwal Revanna."
