A total of 14.8 lakh corona tests were conducted in India during the last 24 hours while about 17.9 lakh corona tests were done during the last seven days.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said that it is dangerous to assume that Omicron will be the last variant of the corona virus.
The positivity rate of corona virus in India has crossed 20 percent. The positivity rate is around 40 percent in Rohtak, Pune and Mohali and 39 percent in South Goa.
Corona's sub-variant BA.2 has also been found in India, cases related to it are being reported in India as well as abroad. In Kerala, 26,514 new cases of corona virus were registered in the last 24 hours, during which 30,710 corona patients recovered and 13 people died of corona.
