Popular Front of India should be banned: Proposal in NSA Ajit Doval's meeting with religious organizations
Doval said, "Some elements are trying to create an environment which is hindering the progress of India. They are creating bitterness and conflict in the name of religion and ideology and it is affecting the whole country. It is spreading outside the country as well."

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held a meeting with religious heads today. The event organized by the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council has called for a ban on organizations like the Popular Front of India, which are "working on a divisive agenda." This proposal becomes very important after NSA participates in this program. During the program, Doval has warned the country to be alert from the forces conspiring to disturb harmony and create unrest in the name of religion and ideology.
Doval said, "Some elements are trying to create an environment which is hindering the progress of India. They are creating bitterness and conflict in the name of religion and ideology and it is affecting the whole country. It is spreading outside the country as well."
The organizers said in a statement that the nation is going through a difficult time due to some anti-social elements and groups who are trying to malign India's image as a shining example of unity in diversity." In one of the eight-point resolution of the meeting released in the media, it was said to ban the Popular Front of India or PFI. This proposal is important because the National Security Advisor participated in the event.
The resolution said, "Popular Front of India and other similar organizations, which are indulging in anti-national activities, pursuing a divisive agenda and creating discord among our citizens, should be banned and the nation's Action should be initiated against them as per law. Also we strongly recommend that any person or organization found guilty of spreading hatred among communities through any medium, action should be taken as per provisions of law.
