Pooja Bhatt Jai Shree Ram controversy: Recently, a video of a group chanting “Jai Shri Ram” and singing Garba songs inside a Mumbai metro went viral on the Internet. However, the Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt who was spotted in Bigg Boss OTT 2 slams religious chanting in a tweet on her social media platform X handle.
The Boss OTT 2 contestants said that this is a complete violation of public space and added that all these shouldn’t be allowed.

The viral video of the Mumbai Metro Jai Shree Ram incident was shared by Kunal Purohit and in the caption he added, “This, truly, is what Hindutva Pop music has been designed for–the easy appeal that it creates among various classes, across the rural & urban. Well-heeled, upper-class youngsters, seeing no problem in singing this in a metro. H-Pop is everywhere.”
Pooja reacted to it and said, “How is this permissible in a public space? Doesn’t matter if it is Hindutva pop,Christmas carols,Bollywood blockbusters or anything in between. Public spaces cannot be misused in this manner. How and why are the authorities permitting this? Yeah,now bring on the abuse (sic).”
Reacting to the Jai Shree Ram chanting in public space, she added, “If we can’t follow basic rules there is no hope for law & order to prevail in the real sense. Illegal hoardings of ALL political parties that desecrate the city the metro being turned into a party zone. Firecrackers being lit in the middle of the street-used as cover by assailants (sic).”
She received lots of negative comments from several people. One user shared a post of Muslims performing prayers on the roads and train thus blocking roads and train passages and added, “Tell your community to stop all this and everything will stop Just today your father's friend Abdullah shot and killed a Hindu man while he was going to immerse the idol in Bahraich? First stop them, then explain to us And yes, Hindus are being killed in Bangladesh for the last 3 months, stop them? Do you have the guts?”
Another one added, “When the public is forced to listen to the loudspeakers compulsorily for 5 times a day, then why should this be a problem when it is hardly for a few minutes?”
