Poll Body Dismisses Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Theft Allegations: Election Commission slams Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of voter fraud as “baseless” and “irresponsible”
Responding to Gandhi’s charges, the poll body said, “The Election Commission ignores such baseless allegations being made every day and, despite the threats being given every day, it asks all election officials who are working in a fair and transparent manner to not pay heed to such irresponsible statements.”
The Election Commission on Friday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s charges of large scale voter fraud, calling his claims “baseless” and “irresponsible”.

Speaking to the media, Gandhi said the Congress had conducted a six month long investigation into the Bihar Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and found “open and shut” proof of the ECI’s complicity.
"Votes are being stolen. We have open-and-shut proof that the Election Commission is involved in this vote theft. And I'm not saying this lightly, I'm speaking with 100% proof. And when we release it (proof), the entire country will come to know that the Election Commission is enabling vote theft. And who are they doing it for? They're doing it for the BJP," he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Gandhi said the Congress had investigated and found enough evidence to constitute an “atom bomb”.

"We had suspicion of voter theft, and we got into its granularity. Since the Election Commission was not helpful in the investigation, we did our own. It took six months and the things we found are an 'atom bomb' and when this atom bomb explodes, you won't see the Election Commission in the country," the Congress MP said.
Members of the INDIA bloc parties have been terming the exercise as an “attack on democracy” and demanding that the SIR be stopped. They have also been demanding a special discussion on the Bihar SIR in the ongoing monsoon session in the Parliament.
In a meeting on Thursday, the INDIA bloc members decided to intensify their protests against the SIR in Bihar, both inside and outside the Parliament.
